Why Anca Voican
What is mediation
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a neutral third party — the mediator — helps the parties in conflict reach their own agreement. The mediator does not decide and does not judge: they identify the real interests at stake, reopen communication and help the parties find solutions no court could order.
The parties choose to take part and stay in control of the decision at every moment.
No public file, no hearings. What is discussed at the table remains confidential, under the conditions set by law.
The mediator takes no side; they balance the dialogue rather than tilt it.
The agreement can be notarised or confirmed by a court.
Services
Whether it is an open conflict or a group decision that will not come together, we step in as a neutral third party.
01 — Mediation
Resolving a conflict that already exists between the parties. We help them reach a fair, legally binding agreement without going to court — in commercial, civil or family matters.
Suitable for: contract disputes, property division, shareholder conflicts, family disagreements.
Learn more02 — Facilitation
Neutral leadership of a group discussion or negotiation — before tensions turn into conflict. We structure and moderate the meeting so the group reaches a decision everyone owns.
Suitable for: shareholder and partner meetings, team decisions, multi-party negotiations, consultations and alignment processes.

Diaspora & international
A significant part of our practice serves Romanian clients abroad and situations with a cross-border element: inheritances with heirs on three continents, disagreements about children when one parent has moved abroad, companies with Romanian and foreign shareholders. Mediation takes place by videoconference, at the parties' pace and time zones, in Romanian or English.
Fees
The information session is free, and you learn the mediation fee after the case file has been studied and assessed — before committing to anything. The parties usually share the fee, and if litigation has already started, the court stamp duty may be refunded when the case is settled through mediation, under the conditions set by law.

A brother in London, a sister in Bucharest, an inheritance to divide. Online mediation makes serious negotiation possible without trips home — legally and efficiently.
Perhaps the most underrated advantage of mediation: everything said at the mediation table is protected by law. Here is exactly what that means and where the limits are.
The Anca Voican mediator's office provides full mediation services in Bucharest and, through online sessions, anywhere in Romania or abroad. Founded by Anca Voican, a mediator authorised by the Romanian Mediation Council, the office intervenes in civil, commercial, family and employment disputes — from contract disagreements between companies and shareholder conflicts to property division, inheritance and post-divorce arrangements concerning children.
Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) regulated by Romanian law: a confidential procedure, under the conditions set by law, with costs established transparently before it begins and a calendar controlled by the parties. The resulting agreement may acquire enforceable character through the mechanisms provided by Law no. 192/2006. The information session about mediation is free and entirely without obligation.
