Terms and conditions
Last updated: 14 July 2026 · Please read them before using the website or the portal
01. Who operates this website
The website ancavoican.ro is operated by ANCA VOICAN – BIROU DE MEDIATOR (Mediator's Office), tax ID (CIF) 31421301, registered at Bld. Ghica Tei no. 91, bl. T32, entr. A, ap. 111, District 2, Bucharest, Romania (the "Office"). You can reach us at anca@ancavoican.ro or +40 745 340 506.
02. Purpose and informational nature of the content
The content of this website — pages, blog articles, FAQ answers — is general information about mediation only and does not constitute legal advice, nor an offer of services for a specific situation. Every case is different; for your specific situation, book an information session or consult a lawyer.
03. No mediator–client relationship without a contract
Merely using the website, sending a message through the contact form or booking an information session does not create a mediation relationship. That arises exclusively upon signing the mediation contract provided for by Law no. 192/2006.
04. Permitted use of the website
By using the website and the portal, you undertake:
- to provide true and complete information in the forms and in your communication with the Office;
- not to attempt unauthorised access to the portal, to other people's accounts or to the site's infrastructure;
- not to scrape or republish the site's content without written consent;
- not to use the forms for unsolicited commercial messages or unlawful content.
05. Intellectual property
The texts, structure and graphic elements of the site belong to the Office or are used under licence (stock photographs come from Unsplash, under the Unsplash License). You may quote short excerpts with attribution; substantial reproduction of the content without written consent is prohibited.
06. Limitation of liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the published information accurate and current, but legislation changes and delays or inaccuracies may occur. The Office is not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of the information on this site, nor for the content of third-party websites we link to.
07. Availability of the website
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time, without prior notice, including these terms. The updated version of the terms is published on this page, with the date of the last revision.
08. Data protection and cookies
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie policy — both form part of these terms.
09. Booking and the information session
The information session about mediation (by phone, video or at the office) is free and does not bind either party.
- Appointments are made by phone, email or through the contact form.
- Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
- Repeated no-shows at confirmed appointments may lead to future bookings being refused.
10. Fees and payment
There is no charge for the information session. For the rest of the procedure:
- The mediation fee is set transparently, in writing, after the case file has been studied and assessed and before the mediation contract is signed, based on the type and complexity of the dispute.
- Payment is made against invoice, by bank transfer to the account indicated on the Fees page.
- Unless the parties agree otherwise, the fee is split equally between them.
- Facilitation services are priced separately, per session or per project.
11. The client portal
For active cases, the Office provides the parties with a secure portal (portal.ancavoican.ro) where they can consult their case, documents, appointments and messages. The access account is created by invitation from the mediator, is personal and non-transferable; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account. The Office may suspend accounts used abusively. Documents uploaded to the portal remain subject to the confidentiality of mediation.
12. Electronic communications
By accepting these terms, you agree that we may communicate with you by email and, for active cases, through portal notifications, regarding appointments, documents and messages. These communications are operational, not marketing; we do not send newsletters without separate consent.
13. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any disagreement related to the use of the site will first be attempted amicably — including, of course, through mediation. Consumers may also turn to the Romanian consumer authority ANPC — the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Directorate, linked in the site footer.
